By Ashleigh Schoonderbeek On June 13, 2011 Mountain View Lodge in Olds held their official grand opening. The previous building was nearly fifty years old and the residents were excited for the move. The new facility includes a greet room, family dining room, wandering-gardens and a state-of-the-art exercise room. There are seventy-seven resident rooms ranging from studio suites to large one bedroom suites. The lodge has specialized wings for dementia, assisted living and respite care. The government has since dedicated 75 million dollars to build more homes such as this, with the next one to be in Sundre.
